Indian cricketer Shikhar Dhawan was born on December 5, 1985. He is an opening batsman for India’s cricket team and has occasionally served as captain. As India’s top batsman, Shikhar scored the most runs. In addition, he made history by becoming the first player in the IPL competition to record two consecutive centuries.
Dhawan comes from the city of Delhi, which in the 2000s became the batting capital of India, and he is one of a long series of stroke players. He favours the cover drive, maintains an erect stance, and has a slightly stiff handshake when pushing forward. His former teammates in domestic cricket describe him as having an almost ostentatious level of self-assurance. His chameleonic style and twirling moustache give him an air of extravagance.
After scoring 505 runs in the 2004 U-19 World Cup, including three hundred, Shikhar Dhawan became an overnight sensation. His ability to “dig in” and “play the big innings” earned him excellent marks from analysts. At Mohali in March 2013, he hit 187 runs off of 174 balls, making his Test debut the fastest century by any batsman. While playing in his 100th One-Day International (ODI), he scored a century in the fourth match against South Africa in Johannesburg.
