The X Games are coming back for the third consecutive year and will be held in Chiba in Japan starting September 20.

Arisa Trew

Arisa Trew will enter the competition on the back of an Olympic gold medal which she won at Paris 2024. The 14-year-old became the youngest Australian to finish top at the Olympic podium.

Trew will be attempting to complete an X Games three-peat after taking the park and vert title in 2023. The efforts made her the most successful X Games finish for any 13-year-old.The Aussie burst into the Skateboarding scene in May 2024 when she became the first woman to ever complete the 900 – a trick that consists of two and a half rotations in the air. In 2023, she was the first woman to land the 720. It would not be surprising if she raked up more feats in Chiba. 

Nyjah Huston

Skateboarding Stars To Watch Out For At X Games 2024

With 11 gold, four silver and two bronze medals at the X Games already to his name, Nyjah Huston is a formidable force in the street competition. The American has been deemed as “the best Skateboard Street competitor — by far — of all time” by X Games itself. 

The 29-year-old walked away with the bronze medal at Paris Olympics 2024, and will now be raring to finish on the top of the podium in Chiba. 

Momiji Nishiya

Momiji Nishiya became the youngest ever Japanese woman to win an Olympic medal at just 13 years old at 2020 Tokyo. Now, in front of the same home crowd, she will be looking to add another feather in the cap.

In 2022, Nishiya won her first ever X Games gold medal in the street competition and today, she owns a total of four titles from the competition, two of which came last year, in 2023. Having missed the Paris Olympics, the 17-year-old will be looking to make most of the X Games 2024. 

Keegan Palmer

Fresh off winning an Olympic gold medal in Paris, Keegan Palmer will step into X Games 2024 with a boosted confidence. The 21-year-old continued his undefeated streak at the Olympics as the only man to ever clinch gold in park skateboarding, having won it at the sport’s debut in 2020 Tokyo as well.

The Aussie will be bidding to extend his X Games supremacy and add a third crown to his total collection, after winning the 2024 X Games Ventura and 2023 X Games Japan titles.

Sky Brown

Great Britain’s two-time Olympic park bronze medallist, Sky Brown, will return to X Games with an eye on her third title. This is the first time that Brown will take the stage in Chiba. The 16-year-old already has two gold medals to her name from the X Games in 2021 and 2022.

Brown has become a household name in the world of skateboarding. She has two bronze medals from the 2020 Tokyo Olympics and 2024 Paris Olympics in Park event. She won a gold medal at the 2023 World Championships in Sharjah.
