Tournament Format Explained Simply

The Grand Finals take place from November 14 to 16, with 16 teams competing. These include:

  • 8 teams from the Semi-Finals
  • 8 teams from the Last Chance Qualifier

A total of 18 matches will be played (6 per day).

What is the Smash Rule?

This event uses a special scoring format called the Smash Rule:

  1. After 12 matches, officials check the points of the team at the top.
  2. They add 10 extra points to that number.
  3. This becomes the Match Point.

How to win the championship?

  • When a team reaches Match Point, they become Match Point Eligible.
  • After that, they need one WWCD (winner winner chicken dinner) to win the trophy.
  • The first Match Point Eligible team to get a WWCD becomes the champion.
  • If no Match Point team gets a WWCD in the last 6 games, the team with the highest total points wins.

This format rewards both consistency and clutch performance, making the final day extremely intense.
