Mushfiqur Rahim Surpasses Dhoni and Inzamam in Record Books
While scoring 35 runs, Mushfiqur went past MS Dhoni in total international runs and also overtook Inzamam-ul-Haq in Test runs scored against Sri Lanka. The 38-year-old reached these milestones in his 180th Test innings, adding to his impressive red-ball career.

Sri Lankan Bowlers Share the Spoils on Day 1
Mushfiqur Rahim was dismissed by debutant Sonal Dinusha on the last ball of the 54th over. He attempted a slog-sweep but was caught by a fielder at deep square leg. His innings included five boundaries.
At the end of Day 1, Bangladesh were 220/8 after 71 overs. Shadman Islam was the top scorer with 46 runs from 93 balls. Litton Das (34 off 56) and Mehidy Hasan Miraz (31 off 42) were the other batters who got starts but couldn’t convert them into big scores.
Balanced Bowling Effort Puts Sri Lanka in Control
Sri Lanka’s bowlers put in a strong team performance. Asitha Fernando took 2 wickets for 43 runs in 14 overs, Vishwa Fernando claimed 2 for 35 in 16 overs, and Dinusha impressed with 2 for 22 in 9 overs. Tharindu Ratnayake and Captain Dhananjaya de Silva took one wicket each.
