Leaving the field after scoring 65 runs is not an easy task, especially for Jacob Bethell who played a solid innings. Captain Harry Brook quickly took things up a notch after Jacob’s departure by turning to his explosive batting abilities (which he is known for). This followed by an awe inspiring power hitting performance from our captain:

Sri Lanka started fast in pursuit of 358, with Pathum Nissanka scoring a blistering fifty in 24 balls before Jamie Overton’s wicket halted their momentum. Middle-order batsmen Charith Asalanka (13) and Janith Liyanage (22) both missed opportunities to build on Nissanka’s start, leaving Sri Lanka stuck at 202/6.
