Sourav Ganguly To Come Back As CAB President Unopposed

3 Min Read

Former BCCI President and great India skipper Sourav Ganguly is set to come back as the Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) President. Ganguly formally submitted his nomination for the position prior to the coming CAB elections, set to take place on September 22. As there are no other candidates in the running, his election is a fait accompli, setting him up for a second term in charge of Bengal cricket.

Assuming Charge from Snehasish Ganguly

Sourav Ganguly will replace his senior brother Snehasish Ganguly, who has been the incumbent CAB President. This is Ganguly’s return to the position after his first stint from 2015-2019, before being appointed as BCCI President (2019-2022).
