SRH Faces Setback, Brydon Carse Replaced By A Pacer For IPL 2025

With the countdown for the Indian Premier League 2025 already underway, Sunrisers Hyderabad have taken a serious hit as their key player Brydon Carse will go missing for the next edition of the tournament.

The 27-year-old English pacer has been excluded from IPL 2025 because of a recurring toe injury that has not allowed him to recover in time for the tournament. In place of Carse, SRH has confirmed that South African all-rounder Wiaan Mulder will be replacing him in their team.

Brydon Carse’s Injury woes

Brydon Carse’s injury woes started earlier this year in England’s first match against Australia in the Champions Trophy 2025, which resulted in his pulling out of the tournament.

The pacer had a toe injury that kept him out of action initially, compelling the England team management to replace him with Rehan Ahmed. Even with continued recovery attempts, Carse’s injury has not healed completely, and he can’t play in the IPL 2025.

With a distinct void now in the lineup, SRH has turned to Wiaan Mulder for the solution. The management expects the South African all-rounder to deliver much-needed stability and depth in their team in light of Carse’s unavailability.

Wiaan Mulder Appointed to Replace Carse

The South African all-rounder, who is only 27 years old, brings considerable international experience.
