Stafanie Taylor is the captain of the West Indies women’s T20I and ODI teams. On June 11, 1991, she was born in Spanish Town, Jamaica. She also participates in cricket for the Railways Women’s squad. She is a right-handed batswoman and right-arm off-break bowler. In the West Indies women’s cricket squad, Stafanie plays as an allrounder. At the age of 10, she embarked on her initial cricket trip. Taylor was a brilliant footballer, but she understood that a cricket career would give her more opportunities to travel the world. West Indies ladies served as a steppingstone when she entered the international game.
Since her ODI debut in 2008, Stafanie has represented the Windies over eighty times. She began her career with the West Indies team at 17 and quickly became an integral part of the squad. She helped them win their maiden Twenty20 game on her debut with the team. Taylor began the West Indies innings in the direction of Ireland by batting first and scoring 90 runs in 49 balls against Ireland. Her score is the second best by a West Indian in a Twenty20 International. In her subsequent encounter, she scored her first fifty in One Day International cricket. She was somewhat more agitated during this match than during the Twenty20. She scored 66 runs off 97 balls, contributing to her team’s victory over Ireland. In 2013, she was the first player (male or female) to be ranked number one in batting and bowling for one-day internationals.
