Tottenham Hotspur right winger Steven Bergwijn is expected to leave the club this summer as he’s not getting enough game time. Italian football journalist Fabrizio Romano reported on Friday that Steven Bergwijn is likely to leave Tottenham and could join Dutch side Ajax in this summer transfer window.

The Dutch winger has to leave as he wants game time and new manager Antonio Conte hasn’t used the forward much last season. Antonio Conte signed a new right-winger Dejan Kulusevski from the Serie A side Juventus in the January transfer window which was a sign that he doesn’t want the Dutch forward (Steven Bergwijn) in his team.

Antonio Conte is a kind of manager who wants a certain type of player in all positions which can suit his style of play. It seems Bergwijn was not in his plan and thus, the winger doesn’t feature in many games after Conte’s arrival.

Former Tottenham Hotspur manager Jose Mourinho signed the forward when he was in charge but after he was sacked, Steven Bergwijn didn’t get much game time he wanted. It is likely that he will sign for Ajax who has a new manager in charge after Erik ten Haag joined Manchester United this summer.
