Indian batsman Shreyas Iyer took it Twitter to confirm that the surgery for his shoulder injury was successful. He added that he will be back in ‘no time’. Iyer got injured in the first match of the three-match ODI series against England.
“Surgery was a success and with lion-hearted determination, I’ll be back in no time, Thankyou for your wishes,” the 26-year-old batsman tweeted.

Iyer sustained the injury on his shoulder while fielding in the first match of the ODI series against England, which was won by India with 2-1.
As per the reports, Shreyas Iyer is likely to remain out of action for at least four months and his chances are less to feature in for Lancashire in English County one-day tournament.
Meanwhile, in his absence, his franchise the Delhi Capitals has appointed wicket-keeper batsman Rishabh Pant as the new captain of the team. Delhi Capitals will kick-start their IPL 2021 journey on April 10 against the MS Dhoni-led side Chennai Super Kings.
