India will then take on Zimbabwe, who scripted history by getting the better of Australia in their second group game, which was followed by a washout against Ireland, a result which took the team to the next round. The game in question will be played in Chennai, and it would be interesting to see how the pitch at the MA Chidambaram Stadium plays.

India and West Indies will face each other for the first time in the T20 World Cup since the semi-final game at the Wankhede Stadium in 2016, which the hosts lost. The game will take place at the iconic Eden Gardens in Kolkata.
