The 2009 T20 World Cup champions will kick off their campaign in the Super 8 against New Zealand, a team that has been in good form in the tournament with three wins in four games in the group stage, losing only to South Africa.

The two teams will go head-to-head in the T20I format of the game for the first time after Pakistan’s Tour of New Zealand in early 2025

Pakistan would hope to put on a strong performance with bat, ball and in the field in order to come out on the right side of the result and gain momentum for the matches to come.
