The Fortnite OG Rocket Launch Live Event is officially set for July 26, 2025, at 2 PM Eastern Time. This marks the third rocket launch in Fortnite’s timeline but the first-ever launch within the Fortnite OG mode.
The earlier launches happened in the main Battle Royale/Zero Build modes, but this one will take place in the nostalgic Fortnite OG mode, which takes players back to the original Chapter 1 map and gameplay style.
This makes the event extra special for long-time fans who have been waiting for something big in OG mode.
Why is this event important?
In the first-ever “Blast Off” event, the rocket opened a rift that connected Fortnite’s world to the wider Metaverse, introducing Drift to the game’s timeline.
Since Fortnite OG is designed as a throwback to Chapter 1, there’s a lot of speculation about what this rocket will do. Could we see another rift? A major map change? Or maybe the return of some fan-favorite characters and locations?
Epic Games hasn’t revealed much yet, but based on history, big changes usually follow these live events.
Event Date and Timings
The event will kick off at 2 PM ET on July 26, 2025. Because this is the first-ever live event in Fortnite OG, expect huge crowds and long queues. Players are advised to log in early to avoid server delays.
