The German team was forced to land in Edinburgh due to an emergency. The team was heading home after a 4-0 win over Iceland.

The KlasJet flight left Reykjavik at 2 am and was heading to Frankfurt. However, the plane faced difficulty approximately three miles west of Arbroath.

As a result, the plane had to make an abrupt turn between Dundee and Arbroath before taking 20 minutes to land in Edinburgh at 4 am. Meanwhile, the reason as to why there was an emergency is still not clear.

The German team has confirmed the emergency landing through their official Twitter handle.

They have also confirmed, that the replacement plane is on its way to bring the team home.
