Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) president Sourav Ganguly has made a statement on the current Indian team. The former Indian cricket captain Sourav Ganguly feels India is a great side and they can win the T20 World Cup this year.
The T20 World Cup will be starting from October this year in Australia and the teams have already started preparations for this. India is currently the No. 1 team in ICC team rankings (T20Is). Thus, the fans have a lot of expectations from the Indian team this year and wants them to win this ICC trophy. Sourav Ganguly has praised the current Indian side and feels it is not an easy task to win the ICC tournaments always but the Indian side can do this year.
“You do not win the ICC tournaments all the time, they were in the finals in 2017, semis in 2019. They (Indian team) are a great side, hoping they can win in Australia,” said Sourav Ganguly on Indian team as reported by India Today.
The last time India won an ICC tournament was in the year 2013 when India beat England in the Champions Trophy finals. Ms Dhoni captained the side (India) in this tournament.
