Former Indian cricketer Parthiv Patel has appreciated Indian skipper Rohit Sharma. Parthiv Patel feels the Indian captain is very special and has done a great job since he has been given the responsibility by BCCI and team management. The Indian cricket team is up and running under Rohit Sharma’s captaincy.
Indian cricket team will be playing the Asia Cup which is going to start from 27th of this month. The upcoming Asia Cup is the great opportunity for skipper Rohit Sharma to get his hands on the trophy. Rohit Sharma under his captaincy won so many trophies but haven’t had a single ICC trophy.
“I have played under Rohit Sharma’s captaincy at Mumbai Indians and the one thing that stands out is how he backs players who aren`t performing. He is vocal about them even in public and in press conferences, as we saw with the case of Avesh Khan. Rohit backed him even after four failures and he delivered with a Man-of-the-Match performance (in the fourth T20I),” said Parthiv Patel on Rohit Sharma’s captaincy.
Rohit Sharma will play his first Asia Cup game as captain of Indian team on 28th August against Pakistan.
