Muller made his 710th appearance for Bayern Munich in a competitive match, surpassing Sepp Maier as the most capped player in the club’s history.
The striker made his debut for Bayern in the 2008-09 season and has since been a driving force for the team. He has made 40-plus appearances for the club in each season since 2009-10.
Scoring in 16 Straight Bundesliga Seasons
The 34-year-old, who is featuring in his 17th season at Bayern, has scored in his 16th Bundesliga season in a row. He has scored from 2009-10 to 2024-25. It’s a joint-record that only Holger Fach, Mats Hummels, Bernd Nickel, Olaf Thon and Michael Zorc have achieved.
150 Bundesliga Goals for Bayern Munich
Muller’s goal against Freiburg on Sunday was his 150th in the Bundesliga. With that, he became the 17th player in Bundesliga history to own 150-plus goals. Meanwhile, he has 176 assists in the competition’s history.
245 Goals and 219 Assists for Bayern
Muller has scored 245 goals for Bayern in all competitions. In addition, he contributed with 219 assists as well. His best season was the 2015-16 when he scored 32 goals in addition to making 10 assists.
475 Bundesliga Appearances for One Club
The German star has played all of his 475 Bundesliga matches for Bayern Munich. This makes him the record holder for his boyhood club, ahead of Sepp Maier (473). Only Klaus Fichtel (477 for Schalke), Michael ‘Ata’ Lameck (518 for Bochum), Manfred Kaltz (581 for Hamburg) and Charly Körbel (602 for Eintracht Frankfurt) have made more appearances for a single club.

The German veteran has won a record 341 Bundesliga matches, narrowly ahead of his teammate Manuel Neuer (340).

Muller has made 151 appearances in the Champions League, the most by any German player. His 54 goals in Europe’s elite club competition are also unmatched in Germany. Müller’s has 104 victories in Champions League, only behind Cristiano Ronaldo who has 115 wins.
