Times of India Sports Awards (TOISA) is an annually organized award ceremony that was first introduced in 2015. Since then, they’ve been recognizing and celebrating the achievements of brilliant Indian athletes across various disciplines. The evaluation period of TOISA was from January 1 to December 31 2024.
2024 was also a year of great heights for the Indian sports community as the country won six medals at the Paris Olympics and 29 medals at the Paralympics. The country also clinched its first ICC Trophy in the T20 World Cup in 11 years. Gukesh D became the youngest-ever world champion at the age of 18.
TOISA is set to be held on 23 February 2025, at the Centrum, Lucknow. The award ceremony will feature a number of sports ranging from hockey and kabaddi to chess and badminton. They announced the nominees recently, so let’s take a look at the top contenders category-wise.
