Throughout his glorious international cricketing career that spanned from 1985 to 1992, Geoff Marsh represented the Aussies in Tests and ODIs and played a total of 50 test matches and 117 ODIs. Additionally, Geoff Marsh was a crucial member of the Australian team that won their first world title during the 1987 Cricket World Cup.

After announcing his official retirement from cricket as a player in 1092, Geoff Marsh transitioned to the field of coaching and assisted Australia to a sensational victory at the 1999 Cricket World Cup and later coached Zimbabwe (2001–2004) and Sri Lanka (2011–12).
