1. Yuzvendra Chahal – 221 Wickets

Yuzvendra Chahal is the highest wicket-taker in the history of the IPL. From 2013 to 2025, he claimed 221 wickets across 174 matches at an average of 22.76 and a strike rate of 17.15, a tally that includes a best bowling performance of 5/40. During this period, he conceded runs at an economy rate of 7.96.

2. Bhuvneshwar Kumar – 198 Wickets

Bhuvneshwar Kumar is the second-highest wicket-taker in IPL history. From 2011 to 2025, he took 198 wickets in 190 matches at an average of 27.33 and a strike rate of 21.32, including a best bowling performance of 5/19. Throughout this period, he conceded runs at an economy rate of 7.69.

3. Sunil Narine – 192 Wickets

In the history of the Indian Premier League, Sunil Narine stands at the third highest wicket-taker spot overall (192) and from 2012 to 2025 Narine had taken the 192 wickets in 189 matches with an average of 25.63 and a strike rate of 22.63, plus a best bowling of 5/19 and an economy rate of 6.79.

4. Piyush Chawla – 192 Wickets

Piyush Chawla is the 4th highest wicket-taker in IPL history with 192 wickets from 2008 to 2024 in 192 matches, with a 26.60 average, and 20.05 strike rate and a best of 4/17, while allowing runs at an economy of 7.96.

5. Ravichandran Ashwin – 187 Wickets

Ravichandran Ashwin has become the fifth all-time highest wicket taker in the history of IPL since it’s inception in 2008 with a total of 187 wickets after 221 matches through 2025 at an average of 30.22 with the best bowling of 4 for 34 and career strike rate of 25.18 and overall economy rating of 7.20.

6. Jasprit Bumrah – 183 Wickets

Jasprit Bumrah is the sixth-highest wicket-taker in the history of the IPL. From 2013 to 2025, he took 183 wickets across 145 matches at an average of 22.02 and a strike rate of 18.23, including a best bowling performance of 5/10. During this time, he conceded runs at an economy rate of 7.24.

7. Dwayne Bravo – 183 Wickets

Dwayne Bravo is the seventh-highest wicket-taker in the history of the IPL. From 2008 to 2022, he claimed 183 wickets across 161 matches at an average of 23.82 and a strike rate of 17.04, including a best bowling performance of 4/22. During this time, he conceded runs at an economy rate of 8.38.
