Hardik Pandya’s Fired-Up Send-Off Against Shubman Gill
Shubman Gill had a tough outing in the IPL 2025 Eliminator. He was dismissed for just 1 run in the first over by Trent Boult, who bowled a classic in-swinger that trapped him LBW. Gill reviewed the decision, but it stayed out.
To make matters worse, MI captain and former teammate Hardik Pandya gave Gill a fiery send-off, celebrating right in front of him. Earlier, the two had an awkward moment at the toss when Gill appeared to ignore Hardik’s handshake.

Rohit Sharma scored a quick 81 and Jonny Bairstow made an explosive debut with 47 as Mumbai Indians posted a strong 228/5 in the IPL 2025 Eliminator in Mullanpur.
Batting first on a flatter pitch, MI took full advantage of Gujarat Titans’ sloppy fielding—GT dropped three catches, including two of Rohit and one of Suryakumar Yadav. Rohit was dropped early by Gerald Coetzee and Kusal Mendis, and made GT pay with some big hitting.
Bairstow gave MI early momentum, smashing 26 runs off Prasidh Krishna in one over. Rohit followed up by attacking Sai Kishore and even took on Rashid Khan, hitting him for a six and a boundary.
At 113/1 in 10 overs, MI were in total control. Suryakumar (33) and Tilak Varma (25 off 11) kept the runs flowing before Hardik Pandya finished the innings with two sixes in the last over.
This was the third match in a row where GT conceded over 225 runs, and with MI’s strong bowling attack, the Titans faced a tough chase.
