Tottenham favourites to sign Adama Traore from Wolves

Tottenham have stepped up their pursuit of Adama Traoré and are more and more confident of signing the Wolves player. recent talks were prevailed friday and Spurs are preparing a new bid for the 25-year-old, who is high on Antonio Conte’s wishlist.

Wolves have accepted that Traoré won’t extend his contract beyond the end of next season and though Bruno Lage would love to keep the spain international till the summer, the club are able to sell at the correct price.

Tottenham had an opening £15m bid rejected, that they expected, and discussions aimed at a breakthrough have taken place.

Conte desires Traoré as an option at right-back or right wing and emphasised on friday that he hoped Spurs would act on his transfer requests. “I created evaluations regarding the squad however I actually have spoken with the club and that i hope the club can hear me,” the manager said.

Lage accepted Traoré’s future was out of his hands. “The club speak with him and he talks with them and that they will decide the future,” the manager said. “I’m proud of him, it’s the only thing I can say. He’s focused, he’s ready.”

Tottenham confirmed that hugo Lloris had signed a new contract to 2024 and stay in talks with Paris Saint-Germain over sending the midfielder Tanguy Ndombele on loan.
