Tottenham Hotspur on Monday has fired Head Coach Jose Mourinho. An authority declaration on the equivalent has been released on club’s Instagram and Twitter handles, Mourinho’s terminating has come only six days before his side was set to go head to head against Manchester City in the EFL Cup final.

Spurs likewise smashed out of the Europa League, following a stunning 3-0 loss in the second leg against Dinamo Zagreb, in spite of having a two-goal benefit in the first leg.
Mourinho had endorsed with Tottenham in November 2019, supplanting Mauricio Pochettino in charge. He had marked an arrangement with the club until the 2023 season.
A statement from the club read: ‘The Club can today announce that Jose Mourinho and his coaching staff Joao Sacramento, Nuno Santos, Carlos Lalin, and Giovanni Cerra have been relieved of their duties.’
Chairman Daniel Levy said: ‘Jose and his coaching staff have been with us through some of our most challenging times as a Club.
‘Jose is a true professional who showed enormous resilience during the pandemic. On a personal level, I have enjoyed working with him and regret that things have not worked out as we both had envisaged.
‘He will always be welcome here and we should like to thank him and his coaching staff for their contribution.’
