Tottenham recently signed a partnership with Dulux as the club’s prime paint provider.
Dulux began the day by reporting that their new sponsorship highlighting their customary mascot, the early English sheepdog.
However, later the organization had to apologize for a progression of internet tweets that showed them mocking up Tottenham.
One user enquired as to whether the canine mascot could play Center back, to which the Dulux account answered: “He may make a superior showing.”
Another user suggested that Spurs would have the option to store “tins of paint in the trophy cabinet until further notice as we don’t appear to put whatever else in there” and the Dulux account answered with a modeled advertisement for an unused trophy cabinet available to be purchased, with the Spurs logo overlaid on the picture.
Soon after people started to take notice of the issue, tweets were deleted.
“We’re deeply sorry for the posts from Dulux this morning in response to the announcement of our relationships with Spurs,” said the paint company.
These don’t reflect, how pleased we are to be the paint provider for the club.
“We’re exploring what occurred and apologize to all Spurs fans.” Tottenham reacted to Dulux’s statement of regret on Twitter by saying: “We’ll gloss over it this time.”
