The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced the squad of the Indian cricket team for the two-match T20Is against Ireland. These two-match T20Is against Ireland will be played at the end of this month, on 26th June and 28th June respectively.
There were some new names on the Indian squad list for these T20Is. SRH batter Rahul Tripathi who had an amazing season of IPL was named in the 17-man squad. Not only him but Rajasthan Royals skipper Sanju Samson who took his team to their second-ever IPL finals in the IPL 2022 also in the squad list of India for this T20Is.
Both these batters (Rahul Tripathi & Sanju Samson) had a great season of IPL as both these batters ended up the season with a strike rate of 150+ and also both scored 400+ runs in IPL 2022. Fans did ask questions when these batters weren’t selected for the 5-match T20I series between India and South Africa. But now, the fans are happy to see them in the squad and would be hoping they get a chance to play in the Indian team in these T20Is against Ireland.
