IPL 2021: Twitter reacts to the reliable CSK openers, as they dominate once again

Chennai Super Kings defeated Sunrisers Hyderabad to go top on the table once again. Chennai has now won 5 consecutive matches out of 6 and is top followed by RCB on the 2nd. Chennai openers made the match one-sided after they added 129 runs. Faf du Plessis and Ruturaj Gaikwad refused to get out early and played some beautiful shots.

Ruturaj scored a brilliant knock of 75 runs in 44 balls before getting out to Rashid Khan. He led the hard-hitting charge on SRH bowlers from the front. In form, Du Plessis also played a good inning adding 56 runs from 38 balls. What made the difference between the openers of both sides was the speed of scoring runs. CSK openers scored runs without any hesitation and played some classic cricket shots whereas SRH openers struggled to bat.

Twitter reacted to the CSK’s pair as they are now reliable and dominant. The young Ruturaj is receiving good attention on social media as most of Chennai’s matches were one-sided because of the destructive opening partnership between both of them.

Shridhar Pillai appreciated the duo and said they provide CSK the much-needed flying start.
