Champions League 24/25 Barcelona Vs Benfica 2nd Leg
Barcelona will be facing Benfica in their home turf for the return leg of the champions league round of 16. Although Pau Cubarsi got a red card in the 1st leg, Hansi Flick would not be worrying too much.
As the Blaugrana continue to dominate in 2025, Hansi Flick has managed one of the greatest goal-scoring records in the world. Only four times this season have they scored fewer than two goals, but last week’s 1-0 triumph in Lisbon was plenty. Four of their last seven games have seen them score four goals or more at home.
Barcelona have scored the most goals in UCL this season
Flick’s team is quite confident after scoring eight goals in their last two games in Catalonia, and the goals are being distributed. Robert Lewandowski continues to increase his season total, and nine different players have scored their past eleven goals. Barca, meanwhile, has scored more goals than any other side in the UCL this season (29).
Blaugrana still got away with a win in the first leg despite having only 10 men on the field. Now, they will be having Ronald Araujo in place of Cubarsi, and will look to win the game with ease as they have already defeated Benfica in the Champions league twice in this season.
On the other hand, Benfica are aware that the lead is bleak and it would be easy to overturn it. They would look to play on the counter and sit deep as they like to play. Barcelona have been lethal in attacking but they suffer defensively as they like to attack with bodies up on the pitch.

While Barca will miss Cubarsi, Benfica will also miss the Argentine maestro Angel Di Maria who would have provided experience and a creative outlet from the right wing.
