Portugal’s national football team was up against Spain in the UEFA Nations League on Thursday night. The game was drawn thanks to Portuguese footballer Ricardo Horta’s late equaliser against Luis Enrique’s men.

Both the goals scored in the match weren’t convincing as it was a defensive mistake in both of them from each side. Portuguese team captain and Manchester United striker Cristiano Ronaldo wasn’t in the starting XI against Spain on Thursday but came off the bench in the second half when the team desperately needed an equaliser. Spain scored the goal in the first half itself. It was an amazing run from Barcelona’s star midfielder Gavi and a sweet forward pass helped Spain take lead against Portugal.

Alvaro Morata scored the first goal of the game but it wasn’t the only goal scored as Portuguese right winger Ricardo Horta scored a wonderful goal to equalize the score (1-1). Manchester City’s right-back Joao Cancelo gave a sweet assist to Horta.

Portugal was playing with more pace and attack in the second half after they conceded an early goal in the first half. It was a disappointing result for both the teams as the efforts they put in the game, they deserved more than a single point.
