Spain’s national football team defeated the Czech Republic on Sunday night, 12th June in UEFA Nations League. Spain won the game 2-0 and went top of their group. Spain now has 8 points in 4 games they played this season whereas Portugal who was at the top before lost to Switzerland on the same day.

Because of a 1-0 defeat, Portugal slide down the table and went to the second position. Portugal is just a point behind Spain and is likely to make the knockouts of the UEFA Nations League 2022. Spain was brilliant the other night against the Czech Republic. Spain scored the goals in both halves to earn 3 crucial points in the league.

It was Spanish midfielder Carlos Soler who scored the first goal of the game and it was a wonderful goal to start with. Spain was leading Czech Republic in the first 45-minutes by 1-0. In the 75th minute of the game, PSG attacking midfielder Pablo Sarabia scored and doubled the lead of Spain. Czech Republic didn’t create much chances in the game as Luis Enrique didn’t let them. Spain had 76% possession in the whole game and thus managed to hit so many shots on goal.
