United Cup 2025

The United Cup 2025 is ready to bring together 18 countries in a mixed-team tennis competition. While some of the top male tennis stars like Jannik Sinner, Carlos Alcaraz, and Novak Djokovic will be missing, fans can still expect intense matches. Big names like Taylor Fritz, the 2024 US Open runner-up, and Alexander Zverev will represent their nations in the tournament.

However, the spotlight will also shine on top female players like Iga Swiatek, Coco Gauff, and Elena Rybakina. This event will be their last major tournament before the Australian Open 2025, so they will aim to perform their best.

United Cup 2025: Format and Qualifications

The tournament features 18 countries. Teams qualify based on player rankings. Five countries qualify through their top male player’s ATP ranking, and another five through their top female player’s WTA ranking. The remaining eight countries qualify based on the combined rankings of both their top male and female players. Australia, as the host, automatically gets a spot if it does not qualify on its own through these rankings.

The tournament will begin on December 30, 2024, with a match between Great Britain and Argentina. The quarter-finals will take place on January 3, 2025, followed by the semi-finals on January 4, 2025, and the final on January 5, 2025.
