The United States Grand Prix at the Circuit of the Americas (COTA) just scored a massive win for all the F1 fans out there. The race has been officially extended till 2034! That’s right, folks, this iconic Texan track will keep rocking the Formula 1 calendar for almost a decade more, locking in its place as a cornerstone of the sport’s presence in the US.

The Iconic United States Grand Prix

Since its debut back in 2012, COTA has become more than just a racetrack; it’s a full-blown festival of speed, style, and cowboy culture. Fans flock from all corners of the country to witness the high-octane battles, soak up the electric atmosphere, jam to live music, and indulge in some world-class Texan BBQ. It’s no wonder this race weekend has grown into one of the biggest single sporting events globally!

The deal extension was welcomed warmly by Stefano Domenicali, Formula 1’s President & CEO, who credited the City of Austin and Travis County for their “unwavering commitment” and incredible support over the years. He also gave a shout-out to Bobby Epstein, Chairman of COTA, and Texas Governor Abbott for their visionary leadership that’s been vital in making this happen. Thanks to this new contract, the United States Grand Prix will even surpass Watkins Glen as the longest-running Formula 1 venue in the United States, a true badge of honour.

What makes the United States Grand Prix special is not just the track, but the people and vibe surrounding it. With a crazy, passionate community, an amazing host city, and a racetrack inspired by legendary circuits like Silverstone, Suzuka, and Hockenheim, the United States Grand Prix is a unique blend of heritage and modern racing excitement. Plus, with F1’s US footprint booming, thanks to Miami and Vegas races, Austin holds its own as a fan favourite with some of the best on-track action year after year.

The 5.513 km track with its 20 turns challenges drivers and thrills fans with top speeds pushing past 300 km/h, earning it the nickname “Cowboy Core.” Off-track, United States Grand Prix is investing big time; there’s a new hotel, a convention centre, and even a theme park with a rollercoaster called Circuit Breaker. And as F1 evolves, the paddock and pit garages will expand to welcome the sport’s 11th team, Cadillac, in 2026.

The United States Grand Prix at COTA is here to stay, and it’s set to continue delivering jaw-dropping racing moments and unforgettable experiences until at least 2034. For American F1 fans, that’s nearly another decade of pure adrenaline, cowboy spirit, and sporting magic right on home turf. Buckle up, because the Austin party is just getting started, and it’s going to be wild.
