UPW vs RCB: Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) performed in an intimidating manner against their opponents, UP Warriorz (UPW), to secure an impeccable win with 47 balls to spare at the DY Patil Stadium in this match of WPL 2026. RCB was quite ruthless in this match, thanks to Grace Harris’ unforgettable knock.

Warriorz Batting Disappoints

UP Warriorz could never actually build momentum and struggled to a subpar score of 143/8 in their innings. A couple of early wickets put them on the backfoot from the start.

Lauren Bell Sets the Tone Early

Lauren Bell once again made an immediate impact with the new ball, bowling with a lot of swing, troubling the UP Warriorz openers. Harleen Deol attempted to counter-attack but was bowled out for a scrappy 11, spooning an easy catch to Smriti Mandhana at mid-off. The top slot at Warriorz sees a revolving door.

Shreyanka Patil Strikes Twice to Deepen UPW Problems

Shreyanka Patil was unfortunate not to pick up a wicket earlier, but she made amends pretty quickly. She removed Meg Lanning with an uncharacteristic slog to deep midwicket and followed that up by removing Phoebe Litchfield, who hit straight to mid-on. UP Warriorz found themselves in deep trouble as wickets kept falling.

De Klerk’s Dream Form Continues

Still riding on her match-winning all-round performance in their previous encounter against Mumbai Indians, Nadine de Klerk was quick to prove her might in this battle too, dispatching with her first two deliveries, taking out Kiran Navgire and Shweta Sehrawat in no time. UPW were struggling at 50 for 5, near to collapse.

Deepti Sharma and Deandra Dottin Steady the Innings

Amidst all the pandemonium, a very important and classy unbeaten partnership of 93 runs came between Deepti Sharma and Deandra Dottin. Although the two began cautiously, they shifted gear in the latter half of their innings. Deandra Dottin did the breakthrough with a majestic six, whereas Deepti ended the innings with some punch and scored 15 crucial runs in the last over to reach a total of 143.

Grace Harris Unleashes Carnage in UPW vs RCB Chase

Their attitude towards the tournament became clear from the first ball, as they chose to open with Grace Harris and Smriti Mandhana the result was electric.

Explosive Powerplay Seals the Contest

Harris hit an unbelievable 40-ball 85, getting to her half-century in 22 balls as RCB scored 78 in the powerplay. Her attack on Deandra Dottin, which included 32 runs in one over, destroyed the bowling plan of UPW. Alternatively, if anything was full, it disappeared beyond the ropes, and short balls were slaughtered through leg and off.

Mandhana Plays the Perfect Supporting Role

While Harris stole the headlines, it was just as important that there was an unbeaten knock of 47 by Smriti Mandhana. She batted supremely, and there were no glitches in the process as they chased down the target. Her inside-out lifted four off Deepti Sharma, when the target had been achieved, was a class act.

RCB Seal Easy Victory in UPW vs RCB Match

RCB achieved the target effortlessly, thus proving themselves worthy title contenders in WPL 2026. This dominating victory helps establish the depth in both batting and bowling, which makes them a true potential winner in the tournament.
