This year marked the 107th edition of the championship, with the world’s best players battling for the prestigious Wanamaker Trophy.
Scottie Scheffler Wins US PGA Championship 2025
Scottie Scheffler, the world number one, secured his first US PGA Championship 2025 title and third career major with a victory. He won by five strokes over a resurgent Jon Rahm. He began his final round with a three-shot lead, however, Rahm briefly tied for the lead as he struggled early. Although Scheffler bounced back and finished the game with a beautiful win.
Scheffler was visibly emotional during the walk down. Reflecting on the victory, he said, “I knew it was going to be a challenging day. Concluding a major championship is always tough, but I managed to remain patient during the front nine. I didn’t play my best, but I stayed in contention, stepped up on the back nine, and played well.”

Jon Rahm’s spirit was also a major storyline. He surged with a string of birdies to tie for the lead midway through the final round, however fell short by five shots behind Scheffler. Viktor Hovland delivered another impressive performance, finishing third, while Thomas Detry and Collin Morikawa shared fourth place after their consistent performance throughout the championship.
