Dutch captain Scott Edwards decided to bowl first after winning the toss said that they will be bowling first as they are not sure what role will dew play. On being asked about the adjustment the Netherlands needs to make from the previous match, Edwards said that the ball might come nicely on the bat as compared to how it did in the last match, and as a team, they pride themselves on making the necessary changes.

Edwards’ opposite number, Monank Patel, was of the opinion that they would have bowled first as well if they had won the toss. Monank also emphasised that fielding plays an important role in the outcome of the game, and the USA will have to be on top of their game in the field.
