Vaibhav Suryavanshi Salary: The young prodigy of the Rajasthan Royals, left-handed star batter Vaibhav Suryavanshi, had a great season this IPL 2025. After his stellar performance in his debut season, he got the opportunity to feature in the England tour of the U-19 Indian team that will be led by the CSK opening batsman, Ayush Mhatre.
IPL 2025: A record-breaking season of Vaibhav Suryavanshi
In the GT vs RR thriller at Jaipur, Vaibhav Suryavanshi smashed the 3rd fastest century of IPL history in 38 balls against the mighty bowling attack of Gujarat Giants, who have been flawless throughout the season. He also became the youngest batsman to score a century in the IPL at the age of 14 years.
The decision of the Rajasthan Royals to buy this young gun at a whopping amount of ₹1.1 cr turned out to be their greatest as he gave many great starts for the team in a few matches with his opening partner Yashaswi Jaiswal. During the season, Vaibhav Suryavanshi’s earnings amounted to ₹7.5 lakh per match.
England Tour: Details and Earnings
However, Vaibhav Suryavanshi’s earnings during the tour will take a significant dip:
₹20,000 per game if he is named in the playing XI
₹10,000 per game if he is on the bench
The India U-19 team will play:
5 one-day games
2 multi-day games
1 warm-up 50-over match, from June 24
Thus, at best, participation (8 games), Suryavanshi can earn ₹1.6 lakh, less than what he earned for just one match in the IPL.
Why the Earnings Gap in Vaibhav Suryavanshi’s Salary?
Although the difference in match fees appears radical, it should be remembered that U-19 compensation within the BCCI is decided with development in mind and not market value. IPL salaries, however, reflect commercial demand as well as auction-based performance dynamics.
