Vietnam is set to host the Dancesport Festival 2025 in a first for the nation.
The Dancesport Festival 2025 will be held at the Military Zone 7 Stadium, Ho Chi Minh City from July 9 to 13, 2025.
This will be the first international dance sport tournament held in Vietnam under the sanction of the Vietnam Sports Administration. The event is organized by the Vietnam Gymnastics Federation in collaboration with Khanh Thi – KTA King The Art.
Making history
For the first time in history, the World Dance Sport Federation (WDSF) has awarded Vietnam the right to host the Dancesport Festival. Previously, the sport of dance was only ranked in Southeast Asia through the SEA Games every 2 years.
Up to now, the tournament has recorded the participation of more than 36 countries and territories, with more than 4,000 registrations, 3,000 athletes and more than 100 international and national referees. This is considered the largest Dancesport event in the history of Southeast Asia.
To ensure the best possible performances, coach Khanh Thi is leading top Vietnamese dance pairs, Phan Hien – Thu Huong and Ngoc An – To Uyen, through a European training tour and into WDSF competitions to accumulate global ranking points.
Meanwhile, coach Chi Anh, in charge of the Standard category, is overseeing an intensive training programme in China for athletes Trung Thuc – Ngoc Anh, Minh Xuan, and Gia Linh.

Dancesport Festival 2025: A tournament with a difference
Vietnam Dancesport Festival 2025 is funded largely from socialized sources to support the development of the domestic Dancesport community.
“I don’t organize the tournament for fame or profit. I organize it because Vietnamese Dancesport needs a real step forward – professional, methodical, and capable of connecting with the world”, Khanh Thi shared.
I hope that the country’s high-performance sports will have a better perspective and way of supporting top coaches and athletes to help them ensure achievements for the country’s sports.”
The introduction of this festival as an annual amateur competition marks a significant milestone, giving dancers more regular opportunities to compete, grow, and connect. This also represents a major step forward for Vietnam’s role in the international dancesport community.
