The Indian team will travel to the UK on 2nd June for World Test Championship and five matches test series against them. Following this team, India is currently in isolation for 14 days that started from 19 May. But the players who resided in Mumbai were given a week exception.
The local Mumbai players including Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, and a few more joined the squad on Monday. According to a report by ANI, these players will undergo separate quarantine for 7 days. They will join the rest of the players of the squad after 7 days at the time of boarding flight for the UK.
Not only this keeping in Mind that players such as Virat Kohli love to work out, but arrangements are also made by BCCI so that they may work out in their rooms only.

A source known for the development told ANI “Kohli and the rest of the members who entered the bubble on Monday will not straightaway mix with those who are already in the bubble. They will do a 7-day quarantine and then join the group before leaving for England. Till then, they will have all the necessary facilities in their rooms only.”
He further tells ANI that “Arrangements have been made so that they can train in the room. Cycles, dumbbells, bars have all been arranged for in the rooms so that they don’t need to walk out and can stay in shape.”

When asked by ANI about COVID-19 testing plans for recently joined players, a source told ANI ‘ “They will undergo tests every day. We don’t wish to keep anything to chance.”
“The team has already taken the first dose here after the government opened the vaccination process for all above 18. The second dose will be administered by the UK health department once the players are eligible to get the second jab as per rules,” ANI quoted the BCCI source as saying.

Notably, World Test Championship Final is scheduled to be held from 18th June to 22nd June in Southampton. With less than 3 weeks remaining for the finals, both teams are gearing up to lock horns with each other.
While New Zealand has to play 2 test matches series against England from 2nd June so they are already in England completing their mandatory isolation. On the other hand team, India is currently in Isolation in India. They will reach England around 2nd June. . Thereafter, they’ll start their 3 days strict isolation in hotels. Players will start practicing from the 4th day onwards.
