The 30th Match of the 2021 WBBL was a Melbourne Renegades vs Perth Scorchers encounter played on Wednesday, 03rd November 2021 at the WACA Ground, Perth, Australia.

2021–22 Women’s Big Bash League also known as WBBL|07 is the seventh season. It is being played from 14th October to 27th November 2021, with eight teams and a total of 59 matches.

An excellent start for the Perth Scorchers, as Captain Sophie Devine and Beth Mooney, made a 150+ Runs Partnership. However, the skipper Sophie Devine departs scoring 72 Runs (off 49 balls). Perth Scorchers was 165/1 (16.2 overs).

But another batter got dismissed, Heather Graham walked back to the pavilion. With that, Perth Scorchers was at 177/2 in 17.4 overs.

However, Beth Mooney’s fine knock of 101* (off 63 balls) made sure that Perth Scorchers finished their innings at 194/2 (20 overs).

Melbourne Renegades Target is 195 Runs

Meanwhile, for Perth Scorchers Lilly Mills strikes as she picked 2 Wickets in an over. Sending back both openers, Josephine Dooley and Jemimah Rodrigues. Melbourne Renegades was 17/2 (2.4 overs).

The next wicket falls of Harmanpreet Kaur due to an LBW decision. Melbourne Renegades was at 59/3 in 9.2 overs.

But against it’s Lilly Mills, picked 2 Wickets in an over of Jess Duffin and Courtney Webb 46 Runs (off 34 balls) were dismissed. They were 102/5 (14.6 overs).

Then, another dismissal as Carly Leeson got out. After that, Melbourne Renegades was 106/6 (15.2 overs). However, Sophie Molineux’s last-minute hitting 31* (off 18 balls) couldn’t guide Melbourne Renegades to victory. Melbourne Renegades finished their innings at 154/6 (20 overs).

As a result, Perth Scorchers won the match by 40 Runs. Hence, the Player of the Match was awarded to Beth Mooney – 101* (off 63 balls).
