Indian cricket team are currently leading the 5-match T20I series against West Indies by 1-0 after they won the first game at Brian Lara Cricket Academy by a huge margin of 68 runs. The bowling performance of India was really appreciable. Indian pacers as well as spinners did a great job to restrict host on 122 runs.

Skipper Rohit Sharma appreciated the effort from the whole team. The Indian opener thought they couldn’t get to more than 150-160 runs as India kept losing wickets in crucial stages of the game. But it was an amazing finish by Dinesh Karthik yet again who helped India reach the score of 190 runs in the end.

“When we finished the first 10 overs, we didn’t think we could get to 190. It was a great effort from the boys and great finish. There are three facets of the game which we are trying to improve,” said Rohit Sharma in the post-match presentation telecasted on DD National (sports).

Rohit Sharma himself scored 64 runs in the first T20I against West Indies. Dinesh Karthik was named player of the match for his exquisite finish in the end of the first innings.
