Indian cricket team is currently leading the three-match ODI series against West Indies by 1-0 after they registered a victory in the first ODI against them by 3 runs. This game was a last-ball thriller which ended in India’s favour. At one stage, Indian team were not in the good conditions and it felt like West Indies will easily take this game away from the visitors. But India kept their calm and some wickets in the middle helped India to get a crucial lead in this series.
Shikhar Dhawan who is the captain of the Indian team particularly for this series praised the team and bowling performance after the game. Shikhar Dhawan had his say on the match in the post-match presentation.
“There were nerves in the end and didn’t expect it to turn that way. We kept our cool and one small change in the end where we pushed the fine leg back and that really helped us,” said Shikhar Dhawan in the post-match presentation as telecasted on DD National.
Shikhar Dhawan was named player of the match for his stunning 97-run innings which came in 99 balls. He just missed out on his well-deserved hundred.
