West Ham are in talks with Jesse Lingard’s representatives to sign him on a free transfer this summer. English midfielder Jesse Lingard is a free agent this summer after his contract with Premier League side Manchester United ended this July. Lingard didn’t want to renew his contract with his childhood club (Manchester United).
Manchester United lost four of their midfielders this summer including their academy players named Jesse Lingard and Paul Pogba. Pogba joined his former club Juventus this summer as a free agent. Pogba has already started training with the Italian giants (Juventus FC). Jesse Lingard has played for the David Moyes’ West Ham before. In the 2020/21 season, Jesse Lingard was sent on loan to West Ham in the January transfer window. This was a short loan only until the season ended.
Jesse Lingard had a wonderful time at West Ham as he also won a Premier League player of the month during his loan period at West Ham. He scored so many goals and also recorded some assists which helped West Ham finish at the European spot (6th) in the Premier League points table.
West Ham wants him back at the club and it seems Jesse Lingard will not hesitate to join the side.
