Bayley has been one of the most important names in WWE’s women’s division for years. She has held championships on RAW, SmackDown, and NXT, including tag team gold, proving her versatility and dominance in the ring.
But 2025 hasn’t been an easy ride for The Role Model. After missing WrestleMania 41 due to an attack by Becky Lynch, fans expected her to bounce back strong at SummerSlam. However, she recently lost a Two-out-of-Three Falls Match against Lyra Valkyria, costing her a shot at the WWE Women’s Intercontinental Title.
Even though she isn’t currently booked for the event, there’s still a chance for Bayley to play a big role at The Biggest Party of the Summer. Here are some possibilities that could make it happen.
1. Bayley Could Be Added to the WWE Women’s Intercontinental Title Match
The main title match at SummerSlam currently features Becky Lynch defending her belt against Lyra Valkyria. While Lyra earned her spot by defeating Bayley, it doesn’t erase the controversy from Bayley’s earlier match with Becky.
WWE could add Bayley to the match, making it a Triple Threat. This would increase the stakes and bring more excitement to the match, especially since these three women already have history together. Fans would likely welcome this rematch of their classic bout at Evolution, which was praised for its intensity.
2. A Heel Turn: Bayley Could Cost Lyra the Match
Bayley has shown clear frustration in recent weeks, even mocking Lyra during their tag team appearance on RAW. This could hint at something bigger brewing.
If Bayley’s jealousy and anger boil over, she could turn heel at SummerSlam by interfering in the Becky vs. Lyra match. This would not only cost Lyra her shot at the title but also end their partnership, leading to a heated rivalry between the two.
Given that the match will be No Disqualification, Bayley’s interference wouldn’t technically break any rules making it the perfect opportunity for a shocking turn.
3. Facing the Winner of Becky vs Lyra on Night Two
For the first time ever, SummerSlam will be a two-night event. This gives WWE the chance to spread big matches across both shows.
Bayley could face the winner of Becky vs. Lyra on Night Two. This way, both Lyra and Bayley get their moment at the biggest summer event, and fans get two huge title matches instead of one.
4. Teaming with Nikki Bella and Stephanie Vaquer
Outside the title picture, there’s another big storyline involving The Green Regime (Chelsea Green and her allies) battling Nikki Bella and Stephanie Vaquer.
Currently, Nikki and Stephanie are outnumbered, making this a perfect spot for Bayley to step in as their third partner. A Six-Woman Tag Team Match at SummerSlam could give Bayley a meaningful role while keeping her as a babyface.
