EverStone Studio has revealed new gameplay and features for its upcoming open-world Wuxia action RPG, Where Winds Meet. The game is set to launch worldwide on November 14, 2025, for both PC and PlayStation 5. Ahead of the release, the studio confirmed that the game has already crossed 10 million pre-registrations. Players will be able to pre-download the game starting November 12 at 2 PM PST.
A World Built on Wuxia Adventure
During the preview event, the developers showcased how the game begins in Qinghe, a peaceful region filled with open landscapes and hidden secrets. As players progress, they can travel to Kaifeng, a large historical city that features more than 10,000 NPCs, each with their own personality, actions, and storylines. The world also holds over 1,200 cultural artefacts, making exploration rewarding and immersive.
Combat Designed for Freedom and Style
The combat system in Where Winds Meet has been built to feel flexible and responsive. Players can choose from classic weapons such as swords and spears, or experiment with more creative options inspired by Wuxia fantasy, like fans and umbrellas. The game includes 12 Martial Arts sets and 23 mystical combat abilities. These techniques were designed in collaboration with Stephen Tung Wai, a four-time Hong Kong Film Award winner for Best Action Choreography, ensuring smooth and dynamic action.
A Story Shaped by Player Discovery
The narrative mixes open storytelling and hidden details. Players are encouraged to explore, investigate, and talk to characters to uncover a deeper mystery linked to political struggles and the imperial court. The world reacts to the player’s choices, allowing each journey to feel personal.
No Pay-to-Win, Full Game Experience Included
One of the biggest announcements from the preview event was that Where Winds Meet will not feature pay-to-win mechanics. All game modes and progression features will be available for free. Players can explore, fight, build, or simply live as a peaceful wanderer without paying for advantages.
Seasonal Updates After Launch
After launch, the game will continue to grow through themed seasonal updates. The first season, titled “Blade Out,” will expand the main storyline and add new gameplay options. Future seasons may introduce different modes or limited-time events, keeping the world active and evolving.
Launch Rewards and Community Celebration
EverStone Studio ended the preview by thanking players for their support. A welcome gift will be available for all players at launch, and additional bonuses will be revealed in-game. Additionally, 10 pre-registered players will be randomly selected to share a $2,000 vacation fund as a special celebration.
