Match Between Austria and Switzerland

 It was the match of a lifetime and the highest goal-scoring match in the World Cup. Switzerland gave a tough fight to Austria, but at last, the victory went to Austria; at Lausanne, they played in the quarterfinals. Josef Hugi from Austria and Theodor Wagner from Switzerland scored twice in the first half, first 20 minutes of the game, the score was 3-0, but Austria’s goal was five in the next 15 minutes to go into the break with a 5-4 lead.

However, due to the high temperature that day, the second half was quieter, with the three goals completed by Wagner and Hugi marks. Austria went on to win the match by 7-5. The score line would have been even higher had Robert Korner of Austria did not miss a penalty kick.

Match Between Hungary and EI Salvador

This match’s name has its importance in the history of the FIFA world cup. Hungary became the first country to make ten goals during this match, giving EI Salvador a crushing defeat.

Six Hungarian players found the back of the net in this group-stage fixture, led by a second-half hat-trick from Laszlo Kiss. Tibor Nyilasi and Laszlo Fazekas scored a brace to help Hungary reach double figures. Luis Ramirez found a consolation goal for El Salvador. However, Belgium and Argentina eliminated Hungary and El Salvador in the group stage.
