The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is the richest cricket board in the world and it is evident with how its marquee tournament the Indian Premier League has paid its superstars. Here are the players who have earned over INR 100 crores in the IPL over the years.

Rohit Sharma

The current Indian captain Rohit Sharma is the highest earner in the IPL. He has taken part in the most games for the Mumbai Indians and has contributed to their five IPL championships. His total IPL salary comes to Rs. 178.6 crore.

MS Dhoni

The former Indian captain, MS Dhoni is second on the list of the highest earners in the IPL. The player who cost the most during the first auction was MS Dhoni, the captain of the Chennai Super Kings. He received Rs 6 crore as his initial salary, which increased to Rs 8.28 crore in 2011, Rs 12.5 crore in 2014, and Rs 15 crore in 2018. Dhoni agreed to a 12-crore contract for the previous season. He has earned a total of 176.84 crore rupees.

Virat Kohli

In his IPL career, Virat Kohli has earned a total of Rs 173.2 crore. In the history of the competition, Kohli is the only player to have played all 15 seasons for the same team.

Suresh Raina

The now-retired IPL superstar is fourth on this list. He has earned more than 110 crore rupees in IPL profits. Raina played the majority of the IPL with the Chennai Super Kings.

Ravindra Jadeja

The star Indian all-rounder is the third CSK star to feature on this list. When the IPL started, Ravindra Jadeja had no caps under his belt. At the U-19 players’ draft, the Rajasthan Royals selected him for Rs 12 lakh. Jadeja has consistently performed well in the league. His outstanding performances have resulted in total earnings of nearly Rs109 crore.

Sunil Narine

The West-Indian mystery spinner is the highest overseas earner in the IPL. Sunil Narine has participated for KKR in every season since 2012. 3.51 crore rupees was his original compensation. From 2018 to 2021, Narine earned Rs 12.5 crore per season, but in 2022 that sum only reached Rs 6 crore. His total IPL earnings are more than Rs 107.2 crore.

AB de Villiers

AB de Villiers’ last season was in 2021. De Villiers, also known as “Mr. 360,” began his career in 2008 with a 1.2 crore salary. He earned an average of Rs 11 crore every season at the end of his career, and he retired with earnings of Rs 102.5 crore.
