At All In Texas, Adam “Hangman” Page finally reached the top by winning the AEW World Championship after defeating Jon Moxley in a brutal Texas Death Match. His redemption story was complete.
Later at Forbidden Door 2025, Hangman faced one of his toughest challenges in MJF. The match was a war, but Page proved why he is the champion by holding on to his title.
Now, the spotlight shifts to AEW All Out 2025, scheduled for September 20. This show will run directly against WWE’s WrestlePalooza premium live event, making it even more important for AEW to deliver something big. But the big question is: Who will step up to face Hangman Page for the World Championship?
Here are three possible names who could be announced as his challenger:
3. MJF still has a title contract
Even though Hangman defeated MJF at Forbidden Door, the story is far from over. At All In Texas, MJF won the Casino Gauntlet match, which gave him a World Championship contract. That contract can be cashed in at any time.
Although MJF used it once already, he managed to twist the rules during his feud with Hangman. Because of that, his contract is still active. AEW recently announced a new rule that requires him to declare his cash-in at least one week in advance.
This means MJF could still make his move at All Out and demand another chance at the World title. Knowing how cunning he is, Max might not let this golden opportunity slip away.
2. Kyle Fletcher could get the spotlight
After Hangman’s win at Forbidden Door, he was interrupted on AEW Dynamite by Don Callis and his faction. Callis made it clear that his group now has its eyes set on the AEW World Championship.
Among his team, Kyle Fletcher stands out as the most likely challenger. Fletcher is the current TNT Champion and has quickly become one of AEW’s fastest-rising stars. He has impressed fans with his in-ring ability and consistency.
If Callis wants to push his faction into the main-event scene, giving Fletcher a World title match at All Out could be the perfect way to make a statement.
1. Kenny Omega might come full circle
The history between Kenny Omega and Hangman Page is one of AEW’s most legendary stories. From being tag team partners in The Elite to becoming bitter rivals, their journey is filled with emotional highs and lows.
Hangman won his first AEW World Championship in 2021 by defeating Omega, a moment fans still talk about. Recently, on Dynamite, Omega returned to protect Hangman from a Don Callis Family attack. The two are now scheduled to team up in an upcoming 8-man tag match.
Once that alliance ends, Omega could decide it’s time to once again fight for the AEW World Championship. A main-event clash between Kenny Omega and Hangman Page at All Out 2025 would be a blockbuster match that could compete directly with WWE WrestlePalooza.
