Indian cricket team will be up against West Indies in the first ODI on Friday, 22nd July. The game between Indian and West Indies will be played at Queen’s Park Oval (cricket ground). There’s some bad news for Indian fans as well as the team as KL Rahul tested positive for COVID-19.

KL Rahul had an antigen Test on Thursday which is compulsory for all the players to take before any game they play. In that test, KL Rahul came positive and he will miss the first ODI against West Indies as reported by India Today on their website on Thursday.

KL Rahul missed so many matches lately due to injury. He was out of the 5-match T20I series against South Africa because of his groin injury. Due to that, he also missed the whole series in England as he went Germany for his surgery. After his surgery was successful, he started recovering well and was picked up by BCCI for this West Indies’ tour. But, now COVID-19 will not let him play the first ODI and maybe the second one as well.
