Indian cricket team won the third ODI as well and whitewash West Indies on Wednesday night at Queen’s Park Oval cricket ground. Indian opening batter Shikhar Dhawan has done an excellent job in the role of captaincy in this series. In the thrid ODI, Shubman Gill missed out on his well deserved hundred.

It would have been his maiden ODI hundred in the blue jersey but rain interupted the play and he had no other option but to go back to the pavilion and let West Indies bat in the second innings. Shubman Gill remained not out on 98 runs in the 3rd ODI against West Indies before rain started. It was not the first time rain interupted the play in the third ODI. But after rain stopped, using DLS method India gave a target of 257 runs to West Indies. The over was reduced to 35 due to rain.

As Indian team lost only three wickets and were in a good position in the game thus the target was been upgraded to 257 in 35-overs. West Indies couldn’t chase it and lost the third game as well. Shubman Gill was named “player of the match” for his wonderful innings of 98* runs.
