WI vs NEP: The former T20 World Cup winners would want to confirm their spot in the Super Eight by registering their third consecutive win in the tournament
West Indies and Nepal will go head-to-head against each other at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai in the 25th match of the tenth edition of the Men’s T20 World Cup, being played in India and Sri Lanka.
Both teams would want to put their best foot forward in an attempt to win the match with a lot at stake. As mentioned above If West Indies succeed in winning this contest, they will be through to the next round, while Nepal has no option other than winning, having lost back-to-back games against England and Italy, respectively.
WI vs NEP: Captains’ Corner
Shai Hope, after winning the toss and opting to bat first, said that they will be bowling first because of the extra moisture that the wicket seems to have. When asked about how to maintain the same intensity as a team, Hope said that they will have to do the same thing again and again. The Windies captain confirmed the inclusion of Matthew Forde in place of Romario Shepherd, who, according to him, was struggling with a little niggle.
Rohit Paudel, the Nepalese captain, said that they would have bowled first as well had they won the toss, but will now have to take the toss out of the game and play with a cautious approach in the first 3-4 overs. Paudel also admitted that they lost their way in the middle overs against Italy as the team wasn’t able to prolong the partnership between two set batters. To add to that, the lower middle order didn’t get going as well.

WI vs NEP: Pitch Report and Conditions
It would be interesting to see how the pitch plays during the WI vs NEP game, as it had a lot of assistance for the spinners in the first two matches, while the surface used for the NEP vs ITA game was good for batting, which is evident by the fact that Italy won the match in question by ten wickets.
Nepal will have its task cut out in both batting and bowling departments if the pitch remains the same, given the firepower that West Indies possesses with both bat and ball, whereas if the wicket starts assisting the spinners, it will make things even between the two teams.
