The ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 will be held in England and Wales with top cricket teams from across the globe featuring in the marquee event.
The competition will begin on June 12 with the final taking place on July 5.
The tournament has been expanded to 12 teams for the upcoming edition. The event will feature 33 matches across 24 days.
ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026: Format
The 12 qualifying teams are divided into two groups of six teams; all the six teams in a group play with all the others – for a total of fifteen matches – and the top two teams in each group advance to the knockout stage.

Eight teams – hosts England, Australia, India, New Zealand, Pakistan, South Africa, Sri Lanka and West Indies – have already secured their spots for the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026. Four additional teams will join them through the Qualifier scheduled next year.

ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 venues
London’s Lord’s Cricket Ground will host the final on July 5, the International Cricket Council (ICC) has confirmed.
The other six venues alongside the Lord’s for the Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 are the Old Trafford Cricket Ground, Headingley Cricket Ground, Edgbaston Stadium, Hampshire Bowl, The Oval and the Bristol County Ground.
